Collection: Once upon a lace FW 26/27

This collection is about textures, forms, and everything a material can become when you let it speak.

If you let lace surround you, it starts whispering all the things it wants to be. Maybe it wants a new colour, something darker and more dramatic. Maybe it dreams of flowing, draped forms. Or maybe it wants to hold you close, wrapping itself around your chest like a protective armour.

If materials could speak, and we knew how to listen, I think they would tell us exactly what they want to become.

For Once Upon a Lace, I placed heritage crocheted lace at the centre of the universe and let it lead the way. It told me it wanted to become a sculptural jacket, a draped skirt, a fitted bustier, a bomber, a victorian corset. Each piece is a different answer to the same question: what else could this material be?
